How One Kendall Jenner Photo Helped A British Brand Crack The US

Adanola, a UK athleisure brand, wanted a big US splash — so they got Kendall Jenner.

It gave a brand that pitches itself as “cheaper than Lululemon” an instant luxury tag.

1. This photo of Kendall Jenner did wonders for a British brand.

2. First, some context. Adanola, a very popular athleisure brand in the UK, wanted to enter the US market.

3. Who do you reach out to if you want to make a big splash in the US?

4. Adanola decided to get some of that Kardashian / Jenner blessing. Not groundbreaking at all. But what set it apart was the execution.

5. Adanola’s whole pitch is that they’re like Lululemon, but cheaper. High quality, lower prices.

6. Onboarding Kendall gave them that luxury tag despite not being a luxury brand.

7. It made them relevant for the IT girls who actually would have skipped it because it was cheaper than Alo or Lululemon.

8. Plus how effortlessly chic does the campaign look?

9. Kendall embodies the clean girl aesthetic, which is exactly what Adanola’s style is. So it’s a 10 on 10 brand fit too.

10. Lots of money spent – but well spent!

11. Side note, sorry but we can’t not make this point. It’s giving Anjali.
