This Women’s Day saw brands celebrate women, and the various facets of their lives. From impactful initiatives to satirical takes, brands unleashed creativity to put the spotlight on meaningful themes.

Women-centric campaigns that are intended for one and all.

Here’s our pick of the most impactful Women’s Day campaigns that stood out in 2024:

Welspun World | EqualStock

Welspun World shared a thought-provoking insight: when we search for Indian farmers online, we mostly come across images of male farmers.

The brand set out to correct this underrepresentation with EqualStock, the world’s first free image library of women farmers, available for everyone to use.

Women account for nearly 75% of India’s farming workforce, and this much-needed initiative gives them the spotlight they deserve:

Aditya Birla Group | Change The Game

The brand put the spotlight on women leaders in companies across Aditya Birla Group, who ‘kick’ irrelevant rules out of their way.

Myths and misconceptions still exist around women in the workplace, and this campaign highlights how they continue to dispel them, day in and out!

The concept and the execution is on point, embodying the essence of Women’s Day.

Mahindra Group | She Is On The Rise

A campaign that was inspired by a heartfelt thought: women don’t need to do extraordinary things, they inspire others just by being themselves.

The brand film features ‘Mahindra women’ in different roles across the country, as a tribute to the women who ‘rise’ even in the most ordinary circumstances – simply by being true to their real, authentic selves.

Kotak General Insurance | Drive Like A Lady

The brand showed a captivating story about a little girl, sharing her dreams with her grandfather. The film challenges biased perceptions by putting the spotlight on Surekha Yadav, India’s first female loco pilot.

A campaign that celebrates women who drive a change in narrative in both big and small ways, while delivering a powerful message to young girls: dream big!

Van Heusen Innerwear

Van Heusen Innerwear launched a real and relatable print ad that highlights what every woman looks forward to: taking off their bra at the end of a long day.

Despite being an intimate-wear brand, Van Heusen built on a brutally honest insight in a way that strikes a chord, and conveys their promise to make comfortable bras for women.

Genius!

Aprilia | I Am A Woman Rider

Aprilia’s campaign was a satirical response to everyone who questions what women riders can and can’t do. For every stereotype, the brand used a real-life example to highlight the many different ways in which women riders bust these myths.

Using sarcasm, the brand ensured a unique and truly impactful Women’s Day campaign!

Bloom Hotels | #SoloFemaleTravellers

A tribute to all solo female travelers who pave their own way and live life on their own terms, this campaign embraces the unapologetic spirit of Women’s Day on a truly empowering note.

The catchy tune and inspiring lyrics of the song bring out Bloom Hotels’ message in an engaging way:

Travel the world and ‘bloom’!

Yardley London | #WomensDayAndNight

Every year, Women’s Day is all about applauding women for their strength, beauty and celebrating how they defy outdated norms.

Yardley London chose to put the spotlight on a cause of empowerment that often goes unnoticed: the NIGHT!

With a relatable campaign, the brand connected with its audience to ‘STEP UP’ and celebrate not just the day, but the night too! A subtle way to weave in Yardley London’s fragrances made for the day and night.

Urban Company | Inspire Inclusion

The brand celebrated Women’s Day by celebrating their female employees, who have broken through all barriers of gender limitations to showcase their talent.

A true testament to their skill, determination, and resilience, this campaign is a tribute to all working women in the country, continuing Urban Company’s focus on dignity of labour.

A much-loved campaign!

Swiggy | Eat Like A Lady

Swiggy’s campaign is a humorous and ironic take on Women’s Day, challenging the social constructs that have been set up for women.

The women in the brand film make a bold statement by disregarding rules and ‘table manners’, and doing the exact opposite of what is expected of them… unapologetically:
