You know the GenZ fav show ‘Call Me Bae’? Recently, the audience has been seeing lots of ‘deleted scenes’ of this show.
Turns out, these snippets are all courtesy Android!
The brand is using these scenes as their ads! Or are these ads disguised as scenes? You will legit not be sure, and honestly – it doesn’t even matter. The strategy is absolute genius!
These scenes – um sorry, ads – show Bae navigating changes in her new life in Bombay. And guess who comes to her rescue? Her two friends from the show and Android!
The deleted scenes weave in ways that Android features like Circle to Search and Google Gemini fit right into people’s lifestyles.
Like this one that uses Google Gemini, an AI, to overcome a leaky roof!
Or this one that uses Circle to Search, a feature that transforms the entire screen into a searchable space, for some fashion finds!
In this one, Google Gemini impresses Bae with the perfect vacay plan!
This one highlighted the potential of Circle to Search for finding even some super unique things on the internet!
These #DeletedScenes capture how the #AndroidAdvantage can help GenZ ace their game everyday!
But wait, we saved our favourite episode for the end: The Switch Moment. A break up was just the perfect way to culminate this series. It works on so many levels, you’ve got to love it!
This episode in particular not-so-subtly nudged the audience to embrace the #AndroidAdvantage that can truly anticipate their needs!
What we truly love about this campaign is how the brand seamlessly integrated their features into a setting that felt authentic and real.
The brand did a whole bunch of things to put the spotlight on everything that Android is capable of but it did it in a way that truly excited the audience about the content too. Basically, their ads didn’t seem like ads which is exactly what GenZ vibes with!
In fact, even before launching these snippets, the brand got the protagonists to reminisce about their days on the set and got the audience excited about these deleted scenes!
While the brand could have gone the traditional route of a celeb-endorsed product placement, they chose to do something different by leveraging scenes from a popular show. 10/10 integration!
