IKEA just changed their logo, but even the biggest fans can’t find out the difference

Ikea has just changed their logo, but the differences are so subtle, that many haven’t even noticed it. But take a closer look, and you will notice that there are several tweaks.

These tweaks become pronounced when you juxtapose the old logo (left) with the new one (right)

Here’s a version of the two logos layered on top of each other.

The new wordmark features an oval with a greater height. The angles of the K have been modified and overall all the letters are now bigger in size, with the edges reduced to fit in the oval. You might notice that the shades of the blue and yellow are also more muted than before. While IKEA has modified their logo many times in the past since the 1950s, this modification was the most subtle and most miniscule of them all.
