CoinDCX Is Attracting New GenZ and Millennial Users With Humour

Cryptocurrency is all the rage these days. CoinDCX’s #BitcoinLiyaKya campaign uses humour to bring new users onboard while positioning Bitcoin as a must-have investment for Indian investors in today’s day and age. 

With this campaign, the crypto exchange platform not only aims to appeal to the Gen Z and Millennial generations who have shown a keen interest in crypto markets, but also to those who may have apprehensions about foraying into this relatively new asset space. The hilarious campaign film showcases a prince who brags about all his assets, but is left dumbfounded when asked the campaign’s catchphrase – Bitcoin liya kya?

In their latest spot the brand hilariously depicts how ‘Chintu ki mummy’ has a lot of things to brag about, but none of it really matters because she doesn’t have the one must-have investment – Bitcoin.

The brand also leveraged popular celebrities like Radhika Apte and Nora Fatehi to position cryptocurrency as new age investment options.

CoinDCX also partnered with popular content creators such as Ashish Chanchlani and Karan Sonawane, better known by his moniker – @focusedindian, to encourage a wider range of audience to download the app and get investing.

Ashish Chanchlani’s reel takes cues from Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic dialogue, “Mere paas building hai, property hai, bank balance hai…” – you know how it goes.

Karan Sonawane on the other hand, is checking off boxes from his travel checklist, when his father asks him if he remembered to get Bitcoin. 

Cricketers Prithvi Shaw and Surya Kumar both promote the platform as a safe and easy way for beginners to explore the crypto world.

The whole campaign emphasises just how popular and significant cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin are becoming as an investment. As per CoinMarketCap, CoinDCX Go is amongst the Top 30 Crypto Exchanges worldwide (highest amongst Indian brands at the time of writing).

The brand is offering new users incentives such as Bitcoin worth ₹100 and the chance to win a whole free Bitcoin. All one needs to do is install the CoinDCX Go app, sign up and add the voucher code ‘CoinDCXGo’. However, users must hold the portfolio for a month to unlock the incentive and make at least one purchase.

We love how the multi-faceted campaign uses humour and taps into the power of influencers to acquire new customers organically.
