bigbasket just launched their latest TVC starring their long time brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan and a sceptic in the form of Ratna Pathak Shah. Through their previous campaigns the brand has successfully been able to establish themselves as a household name associated with groceries. This particular TVC however, is much more nuanced in the fact that it actually goes on to address the various adoption barriers that some of us might have with regards to ordering grocery online.

In this video, Ratna Pathak Shah portrays a typical non user of online groceries, and Shahrukh Khan convinces her to give bigbasket a try. The choice of actor here is also pretty spot on. The former is a credible name in the industry and people across generations will resonate with her thoughts.

She goes on to debate with Shahrukh Khan as to how he would never agree to doing a movie without reading the script. The same way she wouldn’t buy groceries for her family without inspecting the same. Similar concerns are gleefully addressed by Shahrukh Khan and he shows the quality processes at bigbasket to convince Ratna Pathak Shah to try out the online grocery retailer.
